White ON White!

Welcome to 2014 boys and girls!! This is the year of standing out and being fashionable! There is a tradition of wearing only white on Labor day which just doesn’t make sense to me because white is so chic and is definitely my favorite color. It is so simple, airy, flirty and effortlessly edgy and looks good on anyone. Bright whites add edginess to any outfit while eggshell add sophistication. Mixing lace and linen is so lovely and looks good on any trend throughout the year. Add leather to a white lace attire makes it instantly rad. The trick is not to have a flat look, mix the textures for a runway look. Also layering your white clothes will help add depth to your overall look. Wear a cropped jacket over a long line tank and skirt or maybe wear a long coat over a top and jeans. Being thoughtful with layers and balance is also another way to show off your styling know-how.
Keep your all white outfits looking smart and stylish by creating a sense of structure and shape. If you’re wearing voluminous pieces on the lower half of your body, keep the top half fitted or tucked in. Cinch in shapeless dresses with a belt or by using a structured blazer. If you’re wearing tight pants, balance out your look by wearing over sized tops or jackets. Creating a noticeable shape or silhouette will help keep your all white outfit at the height of chic.
Adding metallic accents like gold and silver makes the outfit futuristic and edgy without looking like you are heading outer space. If you are not a fan of the all white trend, you can just add bits and pieces to your outfit. You can go all white with the accessories such as shoes, bag and jewellery or with the pants or shorts or dress or top alone. You can keep the tones more of white, winter blues and greys to form a uni formality to the ensemble.
So go out and get noticed!

Jump On!

My fave outfit is my leopard print jump suit and having a body that is fiercely real, it is so comfortable and i feel like a runway model. Its super easy and effortlessly chic, just adding a cute pair of pumps, statement jewellery can take it to fashion run way ready. Jumpsuits are my fave go-to-am-late outfit. I always give advice on how to wear my faves but today,i decided to talk about how to purchase the RIGHT jumpsuit for you and your body, straight from my EBay fashion stylist.

1. Purchase the Right Length
Jumpsuits and rompers come in varying lengths and sizes. Taller women can get away with sweeping, floor-length pieces, while more petite women should stick to rompers that go above the knee. Women who have shapely arms should go bare with halter top, sleeveless, or even tube top jumpsuits. Long-sleeved jumpsuits look elegant and classy, and can also hide some less-than-perfect features.

2. Buy a Solid Color Jumpsuit
When in doubt, a solid color jumpsuit looks great on any woman. The continuous silhouette created by the single color lengthens the body, and creates a flattering profile. Small prints, a few splashes of color, or color-blocked jumpsuits can also be acceptable if done in moderation.

3. Buy the Right Fit and Size
The right fit is essential when purchasing any piece of clothing, and even more so when it comes to jumpsuits. An ill-fitting jumpsuit can highlight unsightly bulges and imperfections, and may cause some embarrassing situations (especially in too-tight nether regions). When in doubt, a good rule when fitting jumpsuits is to ensure the fabric remains loose and draped while cinching the waist. For those who want to highlight their derriere, a jumpsuit that’s a little clingy around the buttocks area would be suitable.

4. Buy a Jumpsuit for Formal Events
While short jumpsuits are perfect for a day at the beach or a stroll in the park (my fave time of the year by the way), they can also have a place at formal events. Hollywood celebrities wear jumpsuits on the red carpet, but these are often ramped up versions of the daytime romper. Silk or satin jumpsuits embellished with sequins can make a great nighttime outfit for anyone.

5. Wear Jumpsuits All Year Round
There are different types of jumpsuits for any weather, from skimpy rompers for the summer to turtleneck jumpsuits for the winter. The jumpsuit is a versatile piece of clothing every woman should have and wear during any season. If anything, a basic jumpsuit is a great base that can be layered with a jacket or sweater during colder months.

6. Take Risks When Buying a Jumpsuit
Fashion has never been for the faint-hearted, and if designers didn’t take risks, the fashion industry would not have seen some of its best creations throughout the years. Women should try different things and take risks when it comes to dressing up and accessorizing to find out what suits them best, or risk being stuck with the same style for the rest of their lives.

Don’ts When Buying a Romper or Jumpsuit

Finding the right jumpsuit for the right body type does take some effort, but for the most part, it’s quite easy. Aside from the do’s, women should also take heed and remember these six don’ts when buying a romper or jumpsuit.

1. Don’t Buy a Skintight Romper or Jumpsuit
Rompers and jumpsuits are made to cover and drape around the body, and buying a piece that’s so small that it hugs the body tight doesn’t look very flattering on most body types. For women who want something figure-hugging, opt for a catsuit instead, which is designed for a skintight fit.

2. Don’t Buy Wild and Crazy Prints
Unless it’s for a Halloween costume or a uniform, women should stay away from jumpsuits with large prints. Loud prints are distracting and draw the eye away from appealing parts of the body. The truth is, very few crazy or animal print jumpsuits look flattering, and few women can pull them off. Vertical stripes, denim, and see-through jumpsuits are also no-nos.

3. Don’t Choose Clingy Materials
Never buy jumpsuits made of clingy materials like polyester, spandex, or pleather. A jumpsuit should be loosely draped around the body. Fabrics like cotton and soft knitted jersey are some of the best types of materials for jumpsuits. These materials cling to the right parts of the body, while falling around the body to create a flattering silhouette.

4. Don’t Overdo the Accessories
Most fashion experts agree that women should buy their outfits together with their accessories, to ensure they match perfectly. However, the jumpsuit itself can be an overwhelming piece, and may need minimal accessories. A pair of matching shoes and simple earrings can help carry the ensemble, but don’t overdo it with chunky necklaces or thigh-high boots. i always stick my hoops, chain necklace for my jewellery

5. Don’t Buy a Romper or Jumpsuit That’s Difficult to Remove
One of the cons of wearing a jumpsuit is when the wearer needs to quickly remove the outfit, particularly when she has to go to the bathroom. If it takes an army of stylists to remove a single jumpsuit, then it might not be worth it. Instead, opt for a jumpsuit that can be slipped off the shoulders or has few zips and buttons (or stop drinking liquids when wearing the suit).

6. Don’t Think You Can’t Wear a Romper or Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits come in all shapes, prints, and styles, and no matter what the body shape, height, or age, any woman can surely find a piece that’s perfect for her. Ankle-length, solid-colored jumpsuits look flattering on curvy women, while a cute, short romper can lengthen the legs on shorter women. A woman should try on different pieces and styles to see what works and what doesn’t.
With these simple Dos and Don’ts, buying your jumpsuit is going to become easy breezy and fun. So go out and have fun shopping.

Stripe ON!

The one thing Popeye and Beetlejuice have in common is stripes. Since my love for BW, my love for stripes has increased. This trend is timeless and so versatile. From dresses to bras, stripes are chic, whimsical and classic but since its winter/ cold in most part of the world right now, you can try the warm mmaterials for the trend like sweater or leather. For a vintage twist to an ordinary outfit, add a cute brightly striped scarf. To get rid of the monochrome outfit, add a pair of stripe-printed heels or statement printed necklace for a classic look. If you are concerned that stripes might not flatter your lower half, you should try the striped skirt because the vertical print will elongate and slim your legs. Am so into printed underwear especially bras because they are sexy and just add some fun to any outfit. If you like adventure, you can try mixing prints, with polka dots or florals but just make sure the dimensions vary so as not to look clownish and just have fun.

So as you all know,am a huge lover of B/W, i did a post on the Little Black Dress a few weeks ago and i got a request to do one on my favorite Little White Dress because it is surely the new LBD. I love white dresses because they are airy, super feminine and so versatile. It is super chic as well and flatters all body types, including us Dcups 🙂 I love the lace, chiffon and plaster dresses because they are so cute and can go from evening to sunny days. Add a fedora hat, sandals and a jean vest for a summer feel or go extra sexy with a solid or printed heels, a cropped jacket and statement jewellery for a night out. Since we are getting into the holidays, a winter white dress can go well with a bright envelope bag, cute pumps and bright jewellery can do the trick from simple to cocktail look. The key is contrasting the color of accessories. Like the LBD, the white dress is all year seasonal and can’t go out of style so experiment with different accessories and just have fun.

My Xmas 2013

So if it is any huge news, Christmas is my fave time of the year! No season makes me giddy and cheery like this one, t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶i̶f̶t̶s̶ ̶m̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶a̶d̶d̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶e̶x̶c̶i̶t̶e̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ BUT my favorite part of it is the quality family time, eating, laughing and sharing more memories. My second fave part is the shopping as most girls will agree. So i have gathered my top designs for my Christmas 2013. I just love the blacks, silver, reds, greens and not forgetting the lace, chiffon and velvet that grace us around this time. The biggest styles this year are the peplums, jersey, wrap, plaster and A-line. Don’t forget to add stockings, a structured blazer/ cropped jacket and a pair of your favorite ankle boots for that extra warmth during the chilly nights. So have fun shopping as will i.
