Geek Chic

When i think of flashbacks, i think of the brights, glasses and lots of print. Being geeky came from being unmentionable to unbeatable, as long as it is done right, without looking like a unfashionable class clown. You can be cute and sexy by embracing your inner geekyness. The very first rule of Geek Chic is some really cute reading glasses (without the lenses ofcourse if you are not in need of eyeglasses) The bigger and thicker the frame, the better. Add cropped and fitted pants with some prints, with suspenders, to a cute buttoned up collar shirt. Contrast collars are so cute and chic plus adding a cute bow tie or men’s tie gives an extra umph. Add a pair of Mary Janes or Oxfords to your pair of printed pants or even dress. I love the look with shorts, as well. A cute striped cardigan or sweater with a slim belt adds a little sexy to your outfit. If you going for the skirt look, a pair of dotty or patterned knee high socks is very geek chic. For the hair, you can braid it or leave it out. Anything goes really. Have fun with the look.

Vest Republic

Vests have been worn for so many decades and nothing screams casual simplicity and vintage like a vest. I just love the rocker edge they add to any outfit, be it fur to denim, it is just an addition to your closet you need. Pair your favorite jeans with a simple T-shirt and a cropped, fitted women’s vest. A white T-shirt lends a classic look, but any color looks great with a black vest. If you have a brown vest or one with pinstripes or a different pattern, pick a complementary shirt. Pink and brown look good mixed together as well. Toughen up the girly look by wearing a cropped black or brown vest with a loose, frilly blouse which easily adds definition to your waist. Add jeans or a fitted skirt and either heels or flats, depending on how casual you want to look. Go for a punk rock vibe by adding a leather vest that zips up (add texture to the punk vibe) to your skinny jeans and either ankle boots or 80s-inspired sneakers and you’re good to go. Cozy up with a warmer vest by layering up a thick sweater vest or faux-fur trimmed vest over a long-sleeved henley or T-shirt. Be sure to wear fitted jeans or pants, especially if the vest is puffy or oversized, so that you don’t look bigger than you are. For a classic, tailored look, wear a vest that matches either your pants or skirt. To avoid looking like you stepped out of a 1920s picnic, add a modern blouse and cute shoes and accessorize with unique, feminine jewelry. Dress up a sweater by adding a cropped vest in order to polish up a turtleneck or thin cashmere or cotton sweater and accessorize with pretty pearl or chandelier earrings to look more feminine. Have fun with the look.

I love art, i have for as long as i can remember, scribbling my little imaginations on paper was my way of expressing myself (t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶b̶l̶o̶g̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶t̶a̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶p̶o̶n̶s̶i̶b̶i̶l̶i̶t̶y̶ ) so there is no better way to celebrate my FlashbackFriday than getting my spray paint and getting my graffiti on!! From the dresses to the simple shirts, there is a way art just transforms them from serious outfits to master pieces. I love my graffiti cap and if i could just get shades to match it, i would run and get it. So experiment this look by adding a graffiti body-con dress with a neon lip and plain high heels to calm down the art work! Have fun!

Comic Book Chic

I love comic books.. So don’t know if it makes me a nerd but i just love super heroes and villains. So this fashion trend is so cute for me,even better as it started in the 80s, so i just had to blog about it. From dresses to biker shorts, its the trend to follow. It adds a fun flare to any outfit. So yes, am recommending it this season since its also about Halloween time again.
