All black er’thing!!!

Black is the new black 🙂 All black doesnt have to  be boring. It can be edgy and fashionable yet sexy if you follow the few tricks below:

1. Mix up textures to avoid a mono tone look, like leather and lace, fur, etc

2. Vary the shapes as well like peplums and cutouts for a fun look.

3. Be generous with accessories to add some edge and spice to the look.

4. Layer up the outfit by using a blazer for example.

But most of all, have fun and feel sexy in the look.

Trench Fever!

With this rainy season and having a cold, the only thing i want to cover myself up is a trench coat and my favorite Burberry scarf. Trench coats have come a long way from being just official outfits to fashion statements and for this trend, my style icon is Kate Middleton. She pairs block colors well while keeping it simple yet classy with true elegance. I love everything from nudes to brights to patterned to floral. Pair them up with your pants or dress and you are ready to go. Just keep them mid length so not to look overwhelmed.

Chic N Sheer

From runway to walk ways, sheer blouses and dresses are trending everywhere, no matter the season. One tip for wearing this trend is by smart layering, which involves adding a bold slip underneath for some drama. I love pairing black on black but you can alternate colors to your preference. Add a blazer for some structure or a sweater for some warmth on chilly days. Leave the sheer blouse loose, and less fitted. It makes the look classier and edgy without looking risque. I love buttoned up sheer tops like my nude pink in the gallery because it adds playfulness and romance especially tucked into a pencil skirt or high waisted pants. For the sheer dress, neutrals or nudes are the best for the look as brights will look too much and over done. I love whites and pinks for this trend but blacks look amazing and elegant too. Lastly, play up textures as they emphasise the sheer material. I love denims but you may go for faux fur, leather or any material you love.

Striped on!

I love patterns so stripes are definitely an ideal fashion stamp for my wardrobe. They are whimiscal and yet classy. You can try the classic BW but i love trying out other colors such as fuschia, blues and yellows for a fun feel to my outfit. Stripes go on almost everything from bags, shoes, clothes and even nails! so why not try ALL trends. My fave piece is this amazing cute Chanel jean bag for a classy but fashion forward touch to any outfit. So just go out and get striped on!

White jeans!

If you are a white fan like me, the white jean trend is fab for you! I love how it instantly turns an ordinary look into a clean fresh trend. It is perfect for all weather especially spring and winter but summer is amazing too. If the all plain white is too much for you, try the floral print or just patterned look for cuter and more feminine looks. Enjoy!

Christmas Blocked Brights

There is nothing that screams Christmas like brights and better when blocked. 2013 made it official that color was here to stay and what better tribute than with Christmas brights. Putting colors together might seem easy to some of us while the rest of us shy from the thought of it, but not to worry, am here to share some fave tips and tricks.
1) Team It With Denim!
Chambray counts as a blue, you know. Take a bright-hued pair of pants and team them with a butter soft chambray/denim shirt and neutral flats.
2) Clash Completely
Go for bold and wear similar hue. My favorite new way to wear colour is to pick a shade and wear it head to toe in differing tones. Embellished accessories up the wow factor on this look.
3) Mix The Print
Neons or citrus colours are the perfect addition to a pattern. Pick a graphic motif or busy print and build your outfit around it. The colourblocked piece is the finishing touch. Just remember to keep accessories and makeup clean and neutral.
4) Play With Pastels
Toughen up pale colors by teaming them with dark wintery shades. A candy-floss pink a-line skirt contrasts a buttoned-up forest green blouse beautifully, for a fresh, new approach to clean daytime dressing.
5) Belt It
Use a belt to create a color block effect. A contrast color accent belts allows you to try this trend without layering on different colors!
6) Block the Shoes
Let your shoes in on the act by selecting bold hued footwear. Pairing that with an alternate colored dress allows you to try color blocking in a different way!
With these few tips and tricks, you can rock that color for your festive season and have fun while at it.
